چکیده

Mask pattern transferred transient grating, which is a convenient new technique in the class of optical heterodyne detected transient grating, is applied to photochromic molecule (spiropyran) in 2-propanol solution. The spatial modulations of optical properties of the material is generated by transferring an ultra-violet light pattern directly from a metal film grating into the sample solution and detected through the diffraction of a probe beam. The thermal conductivity of the solvent and the diffusion coefficients of the solute molecules were obtained and compared with the calculated values. This method has many advantages compared to the conventional techniques. 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Mask pattern transferred transient grating technique for molecular-dynamics study in solutions

We have developed a mask pattern transferred transient grating (MPT-TG) technique by using metal grating films. Transient thermal grating is generated by an ultraviolet light pattern transfer to nitrobenzene in 2-propanol solution, and the subsequent effect is detected through its diffraction to a probe beam. The thermal diffusion coefficient is obtained by the relationship between the grating ...

Birefringence Properties and Surface Relief Grating Formation on Methylacrylate Polymers with Photochromic Side Chains

We have studied light-induced birefringence (LIB) and surface relief grating (SRG) formation in the series of methylacrylate polymers. The effect of material structure such as length of photochromic side chain, glass transition temperature and molecular structure of azo units on LIB and SRG are studied. The optical formation of self-induced SRG on films of these materials is also presented.

Molecular Docking Based on Virtual Screening, Molecular Dynamics and Atoms in Molecules Studies to Identify the Potential Human Epidermal Receptor 2 Intracellular Domain Inhibitors

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family having tyrosine kinase activity. Overexpression of HER2 usually causes malignant transformation of cells and is responsible for the breast cancer. In this work, the virtual screening, molecular docking, quantum mechanics and molecular dynamics methods were employed to study protein–ligand ...

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Water in Single WallCarbon Nanotube

The overall aim of this study is to calculate some water properties in the single wall carbon naotubes (SWCNT) and compare them to the bulk water properties to investigate the deviation of water properties inside the SWCNT from those in the bulk. Here some physical and transport properties of water molecules in the single wall carbon nanotube were reported by performing molecular dynamics (MD) ...
